Responsibilities for the Network Engineer Job

• Responsible for configuration and support for network switching and routing in daily operation
• Familiar with Unify Communication, Hospitality, Contact Center Avaya enterprise telephony solution and support.
• Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
• Deploy LANs, VoIP, and wireless networks, including, routers, switches, call manager, WANaccelerator, load balancer, controller, IPS, firewall and other hardware.
• Resolve detailed technical Network operational issues and other network connectivity issues that have been escalated to the network team.
• Diagnose and resolve the LAN/IPT/WiFi problem in a timely fashion.
• Handle network related Change management and ensure all changes are under standard procedure and controlling.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Participate in managing all network security solutions.
• Support each Line of business Network, Voice and wireless needs in daily operation and special events.

Qualifications for the Network Engineer Job

• Demonstrated experience in operation & implementation IT project utilizing structured engineering/design life cycle (need daily operation, troubleshooting and implementation).
  Demonstrated technical knowledge of root cause analysis (packet capture analysis), network incident and capacity management systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
• Progressive knowledge/experience managing projects of increasing size and complexity including the utilization of project planning and project dashboard tools.
• Cisco certifications are considered a plus.
