Video Librarian

Responsibilities for the Video Librarian Job
- Database management
- Archive video edits
- Retain accurate and up to date archive data
- Constantly update new content to database and to website
- Archive development – new content (eg field shoots, news gathering and new content strategies)
- Research
- Ensure footage is captured, entered and stored appropriately
- Archive edits & uploads to website
- Archive edits to youtube and other media sites
- Tracking clip usage online and on broadcast
- Ensure integrity of clip deals with content owners
Requirements for the Video Librarian Job
- Detail oriented
- Excellent research skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Advanced knowledge of database software like file maker pro
- Knowledge of online research strategies
- Knowledge of basic video editing or willingness to learn
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of a university degree or diploma.
- Must understand database applications like filemaker pro, excel etc. Must have some understanding of media or production.
- The job will require long and flexible working hours.
