Field Operation Engineer at Adrian Kenya Limited

Reporting to the Team Lead – Network Maintenance the position holder will be responsible for end to end Fault Management in which includes, First Level troubleshooting and resolution, Trouble Ticket Management and faults escalation to 2nd level. The holder of the role will also manage execution of changes on the network and Preventive maintenance on Network Elements across the network.

Responsibilities for the Operation Engineer Job

• Ability to respond to Faults 24/7 whenever called upon by the NoC
• Ability to maintain Generators, Aircons
• Perform PMs and EMs timely and on schedule
• Deep Knowledge in
• Installation of rectifiers and batteries as well as maintenance
• Installation and testing of DEG as well as maintenance
• Termination of AC from KPLC as well as maintenance
• Installation of Power boards: ATS/APS, AC Board.( complete site powering) as well as maintenance
• Termination of site alarms at the krone box as well as maintenance
• Testing of site alarms as well as maintenance
• Site grounding/earthing as well as maintenance
• Microwave link installation and commissioning as well as maintenance
• GSM/UMTS/4G site integration- 2G, 3G & 4G
• Transmission routing both full IP and E1 as well as maintenance
• Test calls for site performance
• Site acceptance

Requirements for the Operation Engineer Job

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering or Telecoms engineering;
  more than 1 years of work experience in telecoms preferably in a GSM environment, field operations or network management, 1 year of which should be in a 24 hour working environment;
• Highly analytical with strong reporting and presentation skills.
