    Administration/Logistics Officer

    Position description:

    IBTCI is currently seeking a Administration/Logistics Officer for USAID/Kenya, HIV/RH/MNCH baseline assessment project.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely delivery of materials
    • Coordinate, process them and supply the mission in timely fashion
    • Responsible for maintaining, inventory management, and interaction/reporting with the team.
    • Overall logistics coordination including travel, lodging, scheduling appointments.
    • Verifying the accuracy of shipments and documentation.
    • Ensure accuracy of all inventories.
    • Assist the Team Leader with all inquiries related to logistics.
    • Create a Quick Books.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Previous administrative experience, preferably with a USAID-funded project.
    • Mastery of word processing, spreadsheets, database use, and presentation software (Microsoft Office); and experience with using the internet for research purposes.
    • Experience and/or familiarity with international development preferred.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have at least seven years’ progressive experience working in Kenya and/or other developing country;
    • Must have demonstrated technical and logistics expertise in the field of public health;
    • Previous administrative/logistics/operations experience managing a USG health program activities in Kenya, particularly acquisition, will be an asset;
    • Excellent verbal and written skills as well good organizational and team skills;
    • Experience working with the MoH and private health facilities desirable;
    • Experience with Ms. Office packages, QuickBooks desirable;
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    Education:

    • Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Finance or related field;
