About the Position

Reporting to the Pharmacist-in-Charge, the Pharmacist will undertake the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Prescription screening and dispensing
• Preparation of extemporaneous products
• Consultation with patients
• Compounding and providing patients with the necessary drug information

Responsibilities for the Pharmacist Job

• Ensure proper dispensing of prescriptions by following standard operating procedures for receiving, filing, dispensing, logging, and maintain loss prevention controls;
• Strengthen compliance with regulatory procedures and other industry standards including ensuring strict adherence to ethical and professional values;
• Provide advice to patients in managing their pharmaceutical needs;
• Ensure proper maintenance of records such as pharmacy files, client profiles, prescriptions, and charge file systems;

Pharmacist Job Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy from a reputable university;
• At least 3 years experience in a community pharmacy setting;
• Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Team player and demonstrate a commitment to quality, accuracy and customer service
• Willing to develop and learn new skills
