    Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Data Analysis

    Overall Job Function

    Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, this role will be responsible for helping the project technical team in definitions, data collection and data analysis as well as ensure updates on donor reporting indicators and summarizing project data for the consumption of project staff and other stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Prepare regular high quality presentations of summarized program data for Tegemeza Plus project staff and other stakeholders.
    2. Support development and implementation of Tegemeza Plus project M&E plans, ensuring that the data collection, collation and analysis are clearly spelt out and understood by all stakeholders.
    3. Regular updates on donor reporting indicators and help project technical team in definitions, data collection and data analysis.
    4. Contribute to project evaluation, in particular, manage collection of data at baseline and subsequent stages of project evaluation.
    5. Work with project teams to create data analysis plans including writing or editing SOPs and guidelines for data analysis.
    6. Contribute to development of inferential statistical analysis of Tegemeza Plus data for publications and presentation to various audiences as need arises.
    7. Assist all relevant stakeholders to make use of data to aid informed decision-making by availing datasets and analyses.
    8. Provide technical assistance, training and guidance to both program team and Ministry of Health staff in data management and analysis.

    Persons Specifications

    • Advanced Statistics Degree (minimum Master’s) in Statistics, Mathematics or Epidemiology
    • At least five years experience in analysis of Public health data preferably HIV/AIDS, TB, maternal and reproductive health data
    • Strong data analysis skills including knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS or STATA
    • Ability to model and interpret data
    • Experience and application of DHIS2, EMR and DATIM reporting system.
    • Good writing and communication skills
    • Advanced skills in graphic presentation of data
