Duties for the Accounts Assistant Job

Finance

• Book keeping and maintaining the school accounts records
• Assist in processing salaries for staff
• Tracking fees payments
• Managing monthly reconciliations
• Managing petty cash
• Preparing financial reports and supporting audit
• Verify all payment vouchers for accuracy and completeness

Inventory

• Monitor office stock and product supply levels and reorder as necessary
• Maintaining school inventories
• Asset Management; tag and monitor assets; ensure all assets are insured and follow through with insurance where needed.

Procurement

• Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management.

Other

• Support the school transportation programme by picking and dropping selected number of kids.

Accounts Assistant Job Qualifications

• A minimum qualifications in accounting
• Experience in the use of the QuickBooks Accounting Software.
• Computing skills
• Valid driving license with demonstrable driving experience is mandatory.

Mandatory

• Certificate of good conduct.
• Recommendation from previous employer, preferably a former or current immediate supervisor.
