    EWA Financial Planning and Business Analyst

    Job description

    This is a challenging role responsible for Financial Planning and & Analysis across the East and West Africa cluster in Africa and Middle East region. The role requires to effective partnership with the business to drive achievement of strategic goals. The role requires an individual who is commercially focussed and detail oriented, having a strong analytical mind with the ability to identify and strengthen areas of business risks and capitalise on opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Key member of Group FP&A team, driving management reporting and providing insights into the business financials;
    • Support FP&A leader in all areas;
    • Assist in driving profitability and growth by analyzing revenues, costs and new initiatives;
    • Drive improvements in reporting and forecasting processes to achieve operational excellence;
    • Effectively engage with multiple stakeholders across different levels / countries;
    • Preparation and financial planning as part of budget and forecast;
    • Performing management reporting and analysis for Emerging Group management team;
    • Provide support in defining and tracking of KPIs to reach agreed targets;

    Apply if you meet the following Minimum Criteria:

    • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting;
    • Accounting professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA);
    • 3-4 years experience of Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial or Corporate Finance;
    • Analytical with a passion for enhancing processes and procedures;
    • Proven ability to provide insights based on large volumes of data;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
    • Strong problem solving skills and ability to independently handle multiple stakeholders;
    • High proficiency using Excel (pivot tables,v-lookups, etc) and other Ms Office applications;
    • High standards of integrity and strong business ethics;
    • Excellent leadership skills;

    The following is an added advantage;

    • Experience working with EssBase, Hyperion Financial Management or Enterprise, SAP and COGNOS;
    • Experience working in the research / FMCG industry;
    • External audit or public accounting experience; and
    • Working knowledge of French.
