Senior Electrical Engineer at AFEX

The successful candidate will be responsible for execution of the design, delivery and construction of a variety of Company projects from start to finish. Organise and oversee the team and ensure the project is completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

The successful candidate must be able to design, develop and maintain electrical control systems to British and European specifications, ensuring quality, reliability and safety. The job will necessitate time spent working in remote and logistically challenging locations.

Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer Job

• Degree in Electrical engineering
• 10 years proven experience as Electrical Engineer
• Fully conversant with UK BS 7671: 2008 17th edition IEE wiring regulations
• City & Guilds 2391-20 level 3: Certification of Electrical Installation (Design, Erection and Verification of
• Electrical Installations) (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2330 level 3 (or equivalent)
• Fully conversant with the Application of Health and Safety and Electrical Principles
• Fully conversant in International Quality, Health, and Safety (QHSE) Standards
• Excellent AutoCAD skills, specializing in electrical design, both schematic and engineering
• Previous experience (or fast learner) with bespoke electrical design software
• Ability to coordinate a team of professionals at all levels to achieve the best results
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in load calculations, cable sizing and power distribution design
• Demonstrate competency in single and three phase electrical installations
• Ability to specify, install, and commission three phase synchronized generator power plants
• Ability to work effectively in a team based, multi-cultural environment
• Capacity to deliver timely results, under pressure, with minimum supervision
• Ability to solve problems, priorities and show good communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Preferable
