Graphic Designer at Jumia Travel

Major Tasks, Responsibilities

As a Designer for Jumia Travel, you will be part of a self-motivated, technical, creative and business oriented team. Your responsibilities and typical activities include:

•  Manage more than one design brief at a time
•  Developing design briefs that suit the internal client's purpose;
•  Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design;
•  Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
•  Presenting high quality finalized ideas and concepts to internal clients or stakeholders.
•  Working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies;
•  Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print;
•  Working as part of a team with other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.
•  Meeting internal clients to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
•  List of Design required: Web Design (banners, dynamic banners, and static pages), Motion Design, Infographic, emails, Pictures sourcing.

Profile requirements

Apart from technical and drawing skills, you will need to show:

•  Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair;
•  High skills on Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and a bit of CSS, HTML and javascript
•  Excellent communication skills in English in order to interpret and explain briefs with internal clients;
•  Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time;
•  Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing designs;
•  Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs;
