HR Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and selection activities
• Conduct induction and on boarding programs
• Develop a robust performance management system
• Support the General Manager in enhancing staff retention.
• Manage employee training and learning development programs to enhance career development
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing appropriate Human capital policies & procedures;
• Manage the HRIS, producing regular HR reports and maintaining updated HR information Systems
• Oversee the maintenance of personnel files
• Preparing and administering the Corporation’s payroll
• Administer employee benefit programs (medical, gratuity, insurances, pension and group life).
• Manage and updating staff leave
• Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures, systems and statutory requirements
• Manage staff welfare programs
• Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
• Any other tasks that may be assigned to you by your immediate supervisor

Qualifications for the HR Job

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
• Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management would be ideal
• A member of IHRM – Institute of Human Resource Management – Kenya
• Basic Counselling
• At least 3 years’ experience in HR Management, preferably in an insurance company
• Conflict resolution skills
• Interpersonal and counselling skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Business and Analytical skills
