    Factory Manager

    Job Location : Nairobi,Kenya

    Reporting to : PSO Head

    Role Summary:

    • The role involves overseeing the operations of manufacturing facility, developing and implementing strategy to increase productivity.
    • .To lead production operations, coordinate production staff and equipment, and ensure the quality and profitability of products & Handle a huge team size.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overall production activities for the business.

    • Implementing best in class manufacturing processes in sync with GCPL practices.

    • Formulating operations plan (long term & short term) in collaboration with sales & marketing team.

    •  

      Identifying and executing cost reduction projects and process improvements (Six Sigma, Lean etc).

    •  

      Preparing operating plans for the factory including the resources required to meet the same e.g. raw materials, packaging materials, human resources etc.

    •  

      Implementing the long term and short term quality improvement plans for the factory.

    •  

      Ensuring compliance with quality norms and safety standards.

    •  

      Planning & implementing cost effectiveness programs.

    •  

      Implementing robust safety and environment management system in line with the company policies and statutory requirements.

    •  

      Plan and assign daily job duties to workers.

    •  

      Recommend changes in workflow, operations and equipment to maximize production efficiency

    •  

      Provide job training to workers to meet production goals.

    •  

      Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications

    •  

      Manage and motivate production staffs to deliver exceptional work.

    •  

      Work with Managers to analyze job orders and develop production tasks and schedule.

    •  

      Plan and assign daily job duties to workers.

    •  

      Investigate problems, analyze root causes and define resolutions.

    •  

      Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Production Management

    • Good communication and presentation skills

    • Good Interpersonal skills

    • Decision Making and Problem solving skills

    • Good Analytical skills

    · Experience in Process Safety Management and production planning

    · Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of human relations skills, principles and team building processes

    · Able to work a flexible schedule

    Qualification

    • Graduate in relevant field.

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Prior Experience of min 8-9 years in the relevant field
