Software Developer at Summit Recruitment and Search

The successful candidate will be required to develop and ensure high level quality assurance and control processes for systems. He/she must have an excellent experience working with PHP frameworks and version control software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop key business application.
• Provide operational support to the Company’s existing business solution.
• Optimise new and existing websites.
• Develop technical responses to tender’s including development effort.
• Assist the development team in research on various technologies.
• Develop clear and concise technical documentation for projects.
• Assist in other development duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience in building scalable enterprise web applications.
• Strong practical understanding of MVC design patterns & Object Oriented Programming.
• Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, Bitbucket, Linux and Apache.
• Experience with one or more PHP frameworks will be advantageous.
• Experience in design and development of RESTful applications.
• Experience in version control software.
• Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural team player.
• Must be willing to work in Karen, Nairobi.
• Must be willing to work on a one year fixed contract.
