Diesel Generator Technician Job Responsibilities

• Gained experience on electrical systems, gasoline and diesel fuel systems, hydraulic systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning.
• Analyzed malfunctions visually, auditory or through the use of test equipment.
• Maintained inventory and control of site equipment necessary to maintain daily operations.
• Interpreted engineering drawings, inter-connection wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment and order parts as needed.
• Delivery of financial objectives of logistic department and the team.
• Developed shop maintenance procedures and fabricated testing equipment as needed to maintain shop operations.
• Load tested generators using manual and automated testing equipment.
• Troubleshot units using wiring diagrams, schematics.
• Made sure work area was clean and met OSHA standards.
• Maintained records and files, prepared reports and ordered supplies/equipment.
• Used test equipment and hand tools to locate the causes of breakdowns and/or system.

Requirements for the Diesel Generator Technician Job

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 Years hands on experience in Instrumentation and Trouble shooting
• Experience in dairy, food, beverage, FMCG it’s a must.
