Temporary Financial Analyst at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)

Job Description

The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications for the following position:

• Conducting analysis and examination of financial statements of listed companies prior to the listing of its securities at the Nairobi securities Exchange(NSE)
• Reviewing prospectuses for potential or actual material accounting or financial reporting deficiencies to ensure investors are provided with accurate information on which to base their investment decisions
• Providing support in analysis of financial statements submitted in support of applications by listed companies
• Maintaining and updating databases relating to financial data, including submission of accounts, publication of financial statements, summaries of financial analysis,
• Assisting in conducting inspections and investigations and give recommendations for the registration and licensing of companies to operate in the country’s securities market
• Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance or business related.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, CFA is an added advantage
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience Key skills, Knowledge & Competencies
