Physical Planner at Kwale County Government

Job Description

• Preparation of local physical development plans for towns, local centres, market centres, trading centres as well as village land use plans.
• Preparation of action plans for specific projects such as residential housing schemes.
• Undertaking development control and ensuring compliance of approved plans.
• Collecting and analysing urban and regional physical planning data.
• Providing advice on development applications.
• Managing of physical planning records

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelors degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Town Planning or Regional Planning from a recognized institution OR A higher National Diploma in urban as regional planning, urban planning ,Town planning or regional
  planning from a recognized institution within an experience of six (6) years.
• Be graduate member of Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP) or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter)
• Have a certificate in relevant computer application skills from recognized institution.
• Show basic understanding of application of GIS and related analysis.
• Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competence as reflected in work
  performance and results
• Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
