Salary: KShs. 15K – 20K with opportunity to convert into a full time role based on company needs

Our client a producer, packer and exporter / importer of only the best fine quality fruits and vegetables is seeking to hire a finance & tech-savvy Finance intern with at least 1 previous internship experience. Flexibility is key as the person may be required to work some weekends.

Roles

• Post journal entries
• Assist with month-end financial reports
• Help with accounts receivable and payable reconciliations
• Assist with audits
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Work with the finance team on any forecasting efforts
• Manage the monthly tracking of our asset inventory
• Support the payment processing team
• Data entry into the ERP system ensuring that entries are posted correctly
• Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information that is provided for management decision making
• Identifying and promoting good business practice within the business
• Credit checks
• Work with the Finance Manager to conducts audits on the historical financial transactions posted in accounting system. (Going through the general ledgers to evaluate their integrity)
• Any other reasonable duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Finance / Commerce / Business Management with professional qualifications in ACCA / CPA, CIA / CISA.
