Terms of Service: 5 year renewable contract

Salary Scale: Basic Kshs.127, 110 x 6,240 – 133,350 x 6,420 – 139,770 x 6,610 –146,380 x 6,790-153,170 x 7,430 -160,600 x 13,640 – 174,240

Duties and Responsibilities

• The County Attorney shall be the Chief Legal Advisor to the County Government of Siaya including the Executive, the Assembly and the County Public Service Board.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must :-

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Have a Bachelor of laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university
• Have a post-graduate diploma in legal studies from the Council of Legal Education
• Have a Master degree in law or any other relevant social science from a recognized university
• Be a practicing advocate of the High Court of Kenya
• Have at least five (5) years of practicing experience
• Have a valid practicing certificate from the Kenya Law Society
• Have a Certificate in Strategic leadership development course or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Be Proficient in computer applications
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010

• Tax compliance certificates
• Clearance from HELB where necessary
• Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
• Clearance from the CRB.
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
