    Human Resource Management Officer I

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversees settlement of issues raised on rules, regulations and procedures of staff matters like appointments, remuneration, leave, staff exit, housing and Medicare.
    • Analysis of operational problems using management techniques.
    • Personnel deployment and utilization.
    • Development of schemes of service/career progression guidelines.
    • Identification of training needs and recommendations on training.
    • Supervising and guiding officers working under him/her.
    • A member of management committees.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Minimum requirements for Appointment

    For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) of at least mean grade C+ (Plus) or equivalent;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Science in any of the following disciplines, Human Resource, Public/Business Administration or their recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Post-graduate Diploma in any of the following fields: Human Resource Management/Development, Public/Business Administration, or their equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Membership of a relevant professional body.
    • Satisfactorily served as a Human Resource Management Officer II or an equivalent position for at least three (3) years
