    Senior Product Manager-Digital Financial Services Nbv

    DEPARTMENT: NEW BUSINESS VENTURES

    REPORTS TO: HEAD OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

    JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

    The Product Management role is a market facing function that is responsible for designing, developing, promoting and maintaining financial solutions and delivery channels that meet the needs of target customers/markets, at profit. The role is central to innovation at NBV and is thus the steward to the division’s innovation management process. The role holder will be responsible for NBV’s product management in all countries that CBA has operations in.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Principally lead the digital financial services product management discipline including, building a strong team of product management professionals and driving continuous improvement in product management capabilities, tools, and processes. (40%)
    • Offer organizational design thinking to best structure the team and equip them for success in their goals and Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products within the digital financial services product platform. (20%)
    • Establish shared vision across the Bank by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution and continuously maintain a clear connection between the larger organizational goals and the individual product goals. (20%)
    • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm. (10%)
    • Create and own the business case for Digital Bank initiatives and drive for approval with financial leadership and other technical and non-technical stakeholders. (10%)

    • Ability to build and nurture partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Highly analytical thinker with experience in both quantitative and qualitative CX testing methods.
    • Skilled at developing business cases and quantifying the cost/benefit of user experience enhancement projects in a Digital environment.
    • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills. Must be an expert problem solver committed to driving results and multiple concurrent projects to success.
    • Experience distilling business/consumer requirements/needs impacting concept development and CX to business and technical partners and representing the voice of the consumer throughout the product development process.
    • Innovative and forward-thinking.
    • Demonstrates a high level of competence and passion for Digital technology and a comprehensive understanding of usability.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • University Degree – Upper second or equivalent.
    • 7 – 10 year’s proven experience developing and managing a product roadmap for Digital channel initiatives.
    • Proficiency in office automation and banking technologies.
    • Project Management experience is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge and experience in implementation of electronic platforms and solutions.
    • Documented track record of navigating organizational white spaces and leveraging internal assets to create or co-create innovative, customer-focused retail solutions from concept to launch.
