Job summary:

To provide necessary technical support in policy development, strategy and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide practical guide in development of strategies in support of various Tax Programs.
• Provide expert technical support on the development of divisional improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate implementation of the policies and strategies put in place for revenue enhancement.
• Coordinate monthly performance reports on implementation of strategies monitored in the Unit.
• Provide necessary technical support to the various technical working groups appointed to help develop policy, strategy and innovation in a modern tax administration.
• Identify the key stakeholders and stakeholder groups in liaison with Marketing Department.
• Provide necessary technical support and guide to external stakeholders on areas of tax policy and taxpayer compliance support programs.
• Provide necessary support to other divisions within the department on measures put in place to support revenue mobilization strategies.
• Attend to any other assignment related to these duties.

Academic and Professional qualifications

• University Degree, Upper 2nd Class Hon, in a relevant field of Economics, Finance, Law or Accounting.
• Master’s Degree in any of the above fields will be an added advantage.

Relevant work experience required

• At least Three (3) years of experience in technical areas of Tax Administration or Economic Policy is required.
• Must have working experience in middle level management
