    Digital Marketing Lead

    Job description

    They are looking for a talented, organized, process-oriented thinker to take up the role of Digital Marketing Lead. This individual’s main responsibilities will be to present Moringa in a way that strengthens their brand while increasing the total number of students who go through their programs and the periodic launching of new courses.

    Responsibilities

    • Coming up with a digital marketing strategy and designing the process for its successful implementation both in Kenya and other markets.
    • Digital Marketing and Channels
      • Developing a digital marketing strategy designed to optimize the customer journey and grow the Moringa brand by increasing online traffic to the school’s website to trigger conversion
      • Testing, managing and scaling key digital marketing channels including but not limited to organic and paid social media marketing, email, SEM and SEO, amongst others
      • Owning key performance metrics to track effectiveness of all channels
      • Defining the monthly budget needed to realize Moringa’s goals across all digital marketing channels
    • Research and Analysis
      • Social Listening skills: Collecting and analysing behavioural data on our target audience by defining the tech education category drivers, observing our audience’s interaction with our social channels, as well as their interaction with our competitors and use this research to enhance marketing activities, and provide product development insights
      • Continually researching and testing new channels and digital tools, contents, formats, audiences, tactics, bidding strategies, targeting options, imagery and copy
      • Measuring effectiveness of marketing partnerships, processes, campaigns and initiatives and finding ways to improve on them
      • Deep understanding each of Moringa School’s functional areas, our products and courses, listening to our students and building strong relationships within the workspace to ensure alignment and integration of the Digital Marketing team with all the other areas of the company
    • Building a Community
      • Working hand in hand, in an aligned and collaborative way with the Events management and Outreach team by ensuring the digital channels support the objectives of inviting and influencing each event’s target audience enabling successful attendance rates
      • Keeping yourself and your team up to date with the latest marketing techniques and platforms
      • Improving the user experience and total conversions from the website by regularly optimizing its design, content and usability
      • Defining relevant content for each of our target audiences and delivering them in the most impactful format within the preferred social media channel for such audience.
      • Designing a relevant and engaging influencer and brand advocate loyalty program

    Desired Candidate Profile

    Does this Sound Like You?

    • You have a BSc or BA degree in a relevant discipline
    • 3+ years of experience managing SEO, SEM, paid, email social media marketing and affiliate programmes will be a hug plus
    • You have a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
    • You are a creative thinker with extensive experience in developing marketing strategies and implementing them in a way that sets brands apart and puts them at the forefront of their intended audiences minds
    • You are data driven with a persistent desire to analyze and improve performance
    • You are flexible enough to occasionally travel
    • You possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
    • Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role will be a huge plus
