    FMCG Marketing Manager

    Our Client in the FMCG Sector seeks to recruit a Marketing Manager in Nairobi, Kenya.

    He/she will be expected to monitor market trends and oversee advertising and marketing activities to ensure the appropriate brand message is delivered to the target customer.

    He/she will report to the GM, and work closely with the MD and Country Sales and Distribution Managers to make sure the company brand values for the various products brands and image are followed.

    You will therefore be responsible for formulating and ensuring the implementation of world class marketing strategies to maximize brand equity, profitability and growth

    Job Specification

    • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
    • Analyze how the Company product portfolio is positioned in the market.
    • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products.
    • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
    • Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
    • Expand and develop marketing platforms.
    • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
    • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
    • Monitor Company product distribution and the consumer reactions.
    • Determine and manage the marketing budget.
    • Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
    • Report on return on investment and key performance metrics.
    • Create marketing presentations.
    • Liaise with media and advertising.
    • Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics

    Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree and Three (3) years of experience in either sales or Distribution or marketing fields.
    • Computer experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet) with good analytical skills and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Effective oral and written communications
    • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with company
    • Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
    • Ability to work closely with the sales team and people from other departments. Teamwork, excellent business acumen and independent judgment is required.
    • Have an instinctive feeling about future product concepts
    • Be a good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research
    • Ability to manage different projects at the same time
    • Be energetic and passionate about their product specialty
    • Be organized and methodical
    • Be able to work well under pressure

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Achieve and exceed monthly & annual quota
    • Build brand Equity for all the products.
    • Quickly qualify opportunities and key strategic positions for each new prospect
    • Demonstrate a solid approach to the sales process with creativity and vision
    • Continue to develop your knowledge of the retail market and the products that Company provides
