Duties and Responsibilities

The Finance Manager’s duties and responsibilities will evolve as the business’s needs grow and evolve, but will include the following:

• Developing and Implementing Systems, Processes and procedures organization wide.
• Developing and implementing Internal audit functions and evaluation and collating and streamline the flow of information across the organization.
• Conducting action oriented financial and operational related analysis.
• Creating ongoing business intelligence reporting and evaluating organization through data driven metrics.
• Documenting departmental processes and procedures and spearheading change operational changes.
• Identifying and implementing team-upskilling and training programs.
• Management reporting, taxation, risk management, financial budgeting process, and special projects (e.g treasury management, fundraising and investor reporting).

Requirements

• Proven work experience in a financial position with managerial responsibilities.
• Experience in the financial sector (financial analysis, audit, management within a finance department).
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient user of finance software.
