Risk & Compliance Officer at Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service

Reporting to the Manager, Legal Services and Corporation Secretary, the job holder shall be required to assist the management in the supervision of enterprise risk management activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of annual risk management plan for the Placement Service;
• Assist in performance of root cause analysis on identified risk events and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to prevent recurrence of risk events in the future;
• Carrying out risk evaluation;
• Monitoring timely reporting of risk incidents and analysing trends for reporting;
• Preparing draft risk reports;
• Identifying key risk indicators within the Placement Service;
• Monitoring progress against action plans designed to manage operational and non-operational risks; and
• Undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.

Qualifications

• Have five (5) years experience in relevant work in the Public Service or Private Sector;
• Have attained a minimum of Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields:- Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
• Be a member of a relevant professional body / institution;
• Possession of any of the following qualifications or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution will be an added advantage: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CRA, CRMA;
• Be proficient in computer applications; and
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
