    Vendor Added Services Associate

    What’s this job all about?

    The VAS Associate is central to growing Jumia’s vendor added service (VAS) offerings, and evangelizing them to our broad vendor base. This person manages and executes core sales routines for several of Jumia’s VAS revenue streams that help vendors drive increased sales including marketing services, onsite service and data analytics services.

    This person is also responsible for forecasting, tracking, and reporting on the performance of all streams and ensuring that revenue is realized. In addition, this person is in constant contact with our vendors and is responsible for identifying gaps in our service offerings and identifying new offerings to drive growth for our vendors.

    The VAS associate will report to the Commercial Planning Analyst.

    The main challenges are described as below:

    Main Responsibilities

    • Executing core sales functions to drive purchase and repurchase of our available offerings, contacting vendors on the phone daily
    • Analyzing past performance to accurately forecast future performance of individual VAS offerings
    • Track and manage daily reporting to Marketplace and Finance teams to ensure proper revenue realization across all offerings

       

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Action oriented and results oriented
    • Strong interpersonal skills: Convince vendors of the value you’re offering.
    • Fast learner
    • Well organized
    • Very independent with a strong ability to go further than the expectations
    • Recent graduates from top Business / Engineering Schools and Universities, with concentrations in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Marketing, or other similar majors.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
