    LCT Sales Operations Director - East Africa

    Job description

    Role Summary

    The role drives operational performance of the LCT by coordinating actions & strategic initiatives ensuring the sales execution is performed with the best customer satisfaction & meets LCT business objectives. This role horizontally interlocks all functions involved from opportunity development to cash, & drives the continuous improvement of processes for that scope by demonstrating him/herself a “Lean Champion” attitude. Role reports directly to the LCT GM & functionally to the Africa COO.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • The LCT Sales Operations Director partners with the LCT Commercial Operations Director to ensure the new orders are executable at the expected performance while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role drives coordination of priorities, actions and escalations to enable the LCT to meet its Revenues and CM targets, as well as other commitments for the financial reporting periods (productivity, inventory, unbilled AR, obso)
    • He/She equally drives the Customer satisfaction on the new equipment projects, and resolves any dispute related to the execution until acceptance is signed, meeting directly customers as needed
    • He/She also acts as the LCT horizontal leader of all resources engaged in the LCT Sales operations and partners with all Functional Leaders (OOM, HPM, PM&E, S&OP, Leaders, Service, Clinical Education, Sourcing, Productivity,) to ensure the resources allocated to the LCT (based or not in the LCT) are performing as needed
    • Owns the LCT P&L operational performance, ensuring the following are met:
    • HCS equipment revenues for reporting period and forecast accuracy for following
    • Execution cost at or lower than assumed in the CM calculation at order booking
    • Execution at expected quality level, not putting at risk lifecycle performance
    • OVCs, BC, Inventory as per LCT OP targets
    • Execution complete to enable cash collection
    • Ensures customer satisfaction for new equipment sales projects executed
    • Owns the LCT revenue commitment, and interlocks all functions needed to deliver it, as well as the short & long-term planning
    • LCT revenue is meant to include HCS Equipment and Service upgrades requiring new equipment
    • Drives LCT operating mechanisms, defines priorities, actions progress, and functional escalations
    • Partners with LCT commercial team to bring operational expertise to the new equipment sales orders, projects and solutions development to ensure cost reserves are adequately dimensioned
    • Partners with the Africa Productivity & Lean Leader to define and execute relevant productivity strategy and initiatives for the LCT, enabling better/simpler execution at optimized cost to enable further growth. Drives the identified LCT productivity projects.
    • Acts as the LCT horizontal leader for all resources engaged in the LCT Sales operations, including coaching and support of these resources, and supports their direct managers in performance and development reviews
    • Quality Specific Goals:
      • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, Policy 5.0, Policy 6.0 and applicable laws and regulations and other GEHC policies as they apply to this job type/position
      • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
      • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Strong business acumen and 5-10 years’ experience in at least two of Sales/OTR/Services/Commercial/Financial roles
    • Proven success in Commercial Operations or Execution within a LCT environment, with demonstrated experience with customers
    • Fluent in English with good communication and presentation skills
    • Exhibits the ability to interact effectively with various types of people with ability to articulate & build convincing arguments internally and externally
    • Proven success in complex stakeholder management and coordinating teams not reporting directly to him/her, strong influencing and negotiation skills
    • Excellent financial & business knowledge and understanding
    • High work standard and quality
    • Reliable, responsive, attentive to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
    • Action and results oriented
    • Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment
    • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
