Cleaner at Bible Translation and Literacy

The Cleaner will perform a variety of cleaning duties. He/she will be in charge of maintaining all public and private spaces to employer standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs general mopping, sweeping and scrubbing of floors
• Empties waste bins and transports waste material to designated collection points
• Using vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
• Dusts, damp wipes, washes or polishes furniture
• Replenishes consumable items (soap, toilet rolls)
• Cleans windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Reports repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job
• Keeps all public spaces clean, neat and tidy
• Maintains hygiene, health and Safety in the work area

Qualifications

• At least a holder of a Kenya School of Secondary Education Certificate (KCSE)
• One year experience in a similar role. Experience in a cleaning company will be an added advantage
• Organized and able to follow and adapt to changing schedules or routines;
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well alone and with a team
