Job description
IQVIA is looking for a Public Health Project Manager for a leading Public Health Project based in Nairobi, Kenya. Successful candidate will be expected to travel. This role is a One Year Fixed Term Contract.
We are hiring for a project-based on a 2-year fixed contract – The project is a regional grant from the Fleming Fund UK, to generate primary evidence on Anti-biotic resistance (AMR) and Anti-biotic usage (AMU) across 12 countries in Africa from labs and pharmacies (approx. 3-4 countries in each of East, West and Southern Africa).
The primary aim of the project is to increase the volume of AMR and AMU data available across Africa. To achieve this, IQVIA needs to lead a data collection exercise across approximately 50 sites consisting of labs and pharmacies in each of the 12 countries to collect evidence on AMR and AMU for the year 2018, and 2017 and 2016 if possible.
IQVIA is one of the key partners in a large consortium created for this project. The project commenced in early 2019 and is expected to run till at least the end of 2020.
Project Roles and responsibilities
The Project Lead will take up end-to-end program management role to oversee all activities within the regional grant (East, West, French West and Southern Africa). Must have sufficient experience (10+ years) in managing large scale grants and/or in similar work to provide technical expertise on public health projects, expert/stakeholder consultations and developing & managing key stakeholder relationships, management of large project and field teams etc). Specific responsibilities for the Project Lead will include:
The Project lead will spend substantial time managing the Fleming Fund project (~70-80%) but also contribute to Business Development Activities for IQVIA to grow the Public Health practice in Africa. Roles and responsibilities may include:
