Private Equity Consultant at East African Social Ventures (EASV)

About the role:

We are initiating large-scale poultry farming operations in Western Kenya and are seeking an experienced Private Equity Consultant to help us reach our seed round funding goals. This individual will work closely with our CEO and Advisory Board members in the US and East Africa to forge and manage relationships and ultimately close deals with private equity investors. This is an outside consultant, 100% commission-based role and can be done remotely from anywhere in Africa. We are looking for a senior leader ready to join us in effecting large-scale economic development in Africa.

Qualifications:

• Thorough understand of and experience with structuring private equity deals
• Ability to forge investor relationships quickly and effectively
• Strong personal conviction in the power of social entrepreneurship to solve economic development issues
• Experience with deals in emerging market economies
• Strong relationship management skills – with investors, team members, and Advisory Board members
• Prior experience raising funds for social enterprise organizations
• Bachelor’s degree at a minimum (with at least 5 years of direct experience), MBAs strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• General understanding of agribusiness investor dynamics (avg. length of time of investor commitment, ROI expectations, etc.)
• Knowledge of poultry market dynamics
