Qualifications and Core Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized institution.
• CPA(K) qualification and ICPAK membership in good standing.
• At least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification accounting experience.
• Practical experience using accounting/ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

• Posting all accounting transactions in the ERP system accurately and promptly.
• Preparing and processing payments, ensuring proper authorization and supporting documentation.
• Managing petty cash, including disbursements, replenishments and reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items.
• Reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other ledger accounts.
• Processing student fee invoices, receipts and account reconciliations.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements and other financial reports.
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
