Field Manager, Production and Aggregation at Africa Fruits and Veggie

Key Responsibilities

• Timely and quality extension services to the contracted growers. Spearheading recruitment and training of growers including; championing expansion of the company.
• Pre-planning of production in respective area of production.
• Coordinating the plantings as per planting budget and schedule.
• Ensuring good quality production through enhanced crop management at growers’ level.
• Groups management trainings to the growers to ensure functional producer groups. Coordinating and monitoring company projects and programs in operational areas.
• Enhancing and ensuring GAP adherence.
• Coordinating Aggregation f produce from smallholder farmers.
• Timely documentation to facilitate payments to the farmers.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for this role

• A Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture and floriculture fields.
• Diploma in Agronomy, Horticulture and Floriculture with a minimum 1 years’ experience.
• Work experience of not less than 1 year in smallholder farmers management schemes.
• Competencies required for this role
• High performing, proactive and self –driven excellent interpersonal organizational, communication and leadership skills Able to work with minimum supervision.

• Fluent in English, Swahili and Local language.
