Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced, well rounded CTO with extensive AI knowledge to join a forward-thinking technology client of ours.

Responsibilities

• Development of a clear IT strategy for the company
• Attraction, guidance and retention of key IT related staff within the company
• Stay abreast with industry trends and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Oversee and manage the entire Information Technology life cycle
• Assist in expanding the brand and its concepts globally
• Stakeholder engagement
• Manage training sessions, conferences and events
• Developing and applying for patents
• Continuous research in the fields relevant to the company and its technology products
• Ensure KPI’s are continuously met

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Relevant Master’s Degree essential, with a PHD being highly advantageous
• 12 years relevant experience with 6 years in a senior management capacity
• Experience working with / for a reputable global brand advantageous
• Proven knowledge and experience working with AI (artificial intelligence) is not negotiable
• Knowledge and understanding
  
  • MVC, PHP, Java, MySQL, Android, Python, R, AWS, Bitbucket, CSS, SMS, HTML5, and Laravel
  • Server, database frameworks and tools including Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Devops experience
• Continuous integration, deployment and micro-services architecture experience
• Willing to relocate to Kenya
