Accountant at Progressive Credit

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly & annual).
• Ensure timely management accounts (5-10 working days after month-end).
• Complete bank, mobile money, loan portfolio and general ledger conciliations.
• Maintain accurate loan portfolio accounting (interest, fees, provisions & write-offs).
• Ensure regulatory & tax compliance.
• Support budgeting and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls.
• Assist with audits and ensure documentation is ready.
• Monitor cash flows and provide forecasts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related field. CPA(K) is mandatory.
• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Microfinance experience is an added advantage.
