Duties and Responsibilities

1. Balancing daily cash accounts at the end of each day in the hospital.
2. Checking the daily cash balance.
3. Solving all their cash related queries.
4. Organizing all the work they do and maintaining the accounting records.
5. Reporting discrepancies they find within the accounts to their superiors.
6. Making daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reports.
7. Cash checks for customers.
8. Calculate total payments received during a period and reconcile this with total sales.
9. Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
10. Compute and record totals of transactions.
11. Provides pricing information on request
12. Balances cash drawers by counting cash at the beginning and end of the shift in the hospital
13. Verifies insurance acceptance by reviewing and recording insurance claims

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Commerce, Business Management, Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option) from a recognized Institution.
2. Certified Public Accountants Part II or its Equivalent.
3. At least three (3) years relevant working experience.
4. Proficiency in computer applications.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
6. Hands–on experience with accounting software.
