Fundraising and Relationship Manager at ACRE Africa

Accountabilities /Duties

The Fundraising Manager will be;

• Conducting research on fundraising thematic areas and potential opportunities.
• Identification of suitable donors and funding partners tsupport key strategic initiatives.
• Working with the ACRE team tunderstand team strengths, limitations, project costs and other specific requirements tensure they are fully integrated intfundraising proposals
• Developing and writing funding proposals and submitting these tpotential donors.
• Preparing quarterly budgets.
• Writing, submitting, and uploading press releases as required.
• Coming up with innovative ways traise awareness.
• Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
• Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders
• Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media.
• Management of ACRE staff as required.

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in PR, project management, development studies or any related field (preferably a master's degree).
• Direct involvement and successful track record in developing and writing grant proposals with preference for candidates with exposure tproposals around agricultural development, adaptation tclimate change or agricultural risk management.
• At least 3-5 years of fundraising experience.
• Previous experience in sales or marketing is alsdesirable.
• Sound knowledge of the agriculture sector and risk management strategies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
