Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.

    Planning and organizing: Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies. Identifies priority activities and assignments; adjusts priorities as required. Allocates appropriate amount of time and resources for completing work. Foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning. Monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary.     Education

    • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, human resources management, finance, accounting, or related field.
    • A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

    Work Experience

    • At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, budget, finance or general administration is required.
    • Experience in handling complex organizational issues at the international level is desirable.
    • Experience providing services in a field operation of the United Nations Common System or a comparable international organization is desirable.
    • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable.
    • Experience in data analysis and reporting using business intelligence tools is desirable.

    Languages

    English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
