Manage the entire patient intake and exit process in the hospital, acting as the primary liaison between patients, clinical staff, and billing departments.
Discharge Planning: Coordinating with medical staff, nursing, and support services to ensure timely, safe discharge, including arranging transportation and follow-up care.
Communication: Acting as a link between patients, families, and doctors, providing clear information on policies and procedures.
Administrative Duties: Maintaining accurate electronic medical records, managing patient data, and updating discharge registers.
Financial Coordination: Collaborating with the billing department to check accuracy of bills, including reviewing fees for accuracy before the patient leaves.
Bed Management: Liaising with ward in-charges to ensure room availability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A diploma in business management/health records or health management systems
Experience: Previous hospital experience in a similar position, particularly in patient services.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in medical software or computer applications.
