    Pre-Sales Research Expert – AI-Augmented Intelligence

    Job Summary 

    • The Pre-Sales Research Expert at Teleperformance EMEA will serve as a critical enabler for our pre-sales organization, leveraging advanced AI tools (including Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, and emerging platforms) to deliver rapid, high-quality research and intelligence that accelerates deal cycles and improves win rates.
    • Based in Kenya and supporting the broader EMEA region, this role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI capabilities and traditional business research, transforming how our pre-sales teams gather insights, analyze opportunities, and craft winning proposals.
    • This internal-facing role works closely with Pre-Sales Consultants, Account Executives, and Solution Architects to provide on-demand research, competitive intelligence, industry analysis, and client insights that enable more informed client conversations and more compelling value propositions.
    • The ideal candidate is an AI power-user who understands how to prompt, validate, and synthesize AI-generated content to produce actionable business intelligence across multiple industries, with particular depth in BFSI, E-Commerce, and Travel sectors.

    Job Details 

    AI-Augmented Research & Intelligence

    • Utilize advanced AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others) to conduct rapid, comprehensive research on target accounts, industries, competitors, and market trends
    • Develop and maintain a library of optimized prompts and research workflows that maximize AI tool effectiveness for common pre-sales research needs
    • Synthesize AI-generated insights with traditional research sources (industry reports, financial data, news, regulatory information) to deliver validated, accurate intelligence
    • Create standardized research deliverables (account profiles, competitive battlecards, industry briefings, regulatory summaries) that enable pre-sales teams to engage more effectively with prospects

    Pre-Sales Enablement & Support

    • Respond to ad-hoc research requests from Pre-Sales Consultants and Account Executives with speed and precision, typically within 24-48 hours
    • Conduct deep-dive research on target accounts prior to discovery sessions, identifying key business challenges, strategic priorities, technology landscape, and competitive positioning
    • Support proposal development by gathering relevant case studies, industry benchmarks, ROI data, and proof points that strengthen value propositions
    • Provide competitive intelligence and differentiation insights that help position Teleperformance solutions against key competitors

    Industry & Vertical Expertise

    • Maintain deep knowledge of BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance), E-Commerce, and Travel industries, including regulatory environments, operational challenges, and digital transformation trends
    • Monitor industry publications, earnings calls, regulatory changes, and market developments to proactively share relevant insights with pre-sales teams
    • Build and maintain industry-specific intelligence repositories that capture key trends, pain points, buying behaviors, and decision-making criteria
    • Develop sector-specific research frameworks and methodologies that improve research quality and consistency across opportunities

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in business research, competitive intelligence, market analysis, or pre-sales support roles within BPO, consulting, technology, or professional services industries
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
    • Proven track record of supporting sales or pre-sales teams with high-quality research that influenced deal outcomes
    • Demonstrated experience working across multiple industries, with specific depth in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance), E-Commerce, and/or Travel sectors
    • Experience working in or supporting EMEA markets, with understanding of regional business practices and regulatory environments
    • Expert-level proficiency with generative AI tools including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other LLM-based research platforms
    • Familiarity with business intelligence tools, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and collaboration platforms (Slack, Teams, SharePoint)
    • Comfort with data analysis and basic visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI, or similar) to present research findings clearly
    • Strong business acumen with ability to quickly understand client industries, business models, and strategic challenges
    • Excellent secondary research skills, including effective use of databases (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, industry-specific sources), financial reports, and regulatory filings
