AGRICULTURE OFFICER - JOB GROUP 09 (‘K’) - (4 POSTS)

An officer af this level will be deployed at the ward level either as the Sub-County crops officer, agribusiness officer or home economics officer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide agricultural extension services to farmers at the sub-county level.
- Management of agricultural resources in the sub-county:
- Participation in preparation and implementation of agriculture work plans and budgets in the Sub- County.
- Collaboration with stakeholders in the delivery of agricultural services:
- Organize field days, exhibition and shows;
- Preparation of periodic reports
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by SCAQs, Directors Chief Officers
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, candidate must have;
- A Bachelor of Science degree in either Horticulture, Food Science, Agriculture Economics, Home Economics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
