    AM IT Manager

    Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit for the role of Airtel Money IT Manager. The role will be responsible for the smooth operations of the Airtel Money technology by managing the technology resources, availability and performance. The role holder will also manage Airtel Money IT projects, integrations and changes as aligned with business requirements to achieve business goals.

    Reporting to the Airtel Money SME Manager, the responsibilities of the role include and are not limited to;

    • Capacity planning, monitoring of Airtel Money systems and resources
    • Ensure availability, performance and proper change controls of the systems and services
    • Track Vendor’s service level agreements (SLA) and share issues report with management
    • Manage all Airtel Money IT system projects while engaging with business and partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects, change request, integrations, and business requirement implementation
    • Draft required documentation and manage networking approvals to implement system development of new Airtel Money products and services.
    • Oversee development, SIT testing and integration of new Airtel Money products and services
    • Oversee and ensure the physical and cyber security of Airtel Money system and services
    • Ensure daily backups and regular restore tests are done and follow up on any issue raised
    • Establish well tested and documented business continuity plan including drills
    • Promptly report to Risk and Compliance Department/MLRO any suspected criminal activity or where they have suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing.
    • Ensure full compliance to regulation, policy and procedure on new integrations, products, and customer data.
    • Ensure submission of timely and accurate reports as per request

    Qualifications:

    • University degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or other related disciplines
    • Professional qualification in Database, application development and network
    • 3 - 5 years working experience preferably within the Telecoms industry or IT core banking with Hands on work experience in partner and vendor management
    • Experience in database administration, application development, system administration and resource management
    • Widely knowledgeable in IT domain - modern server technologies, including virtualization, storage, Linux and Windows OS
