Android Developer at Qhala

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and back-end developers, to define and implement new features.
• Work with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and debugging.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance development processes.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation across the Android development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin, with a deep understanding of Android SDK.
• Experience with different Android versions and screen sizes, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of devices.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile application integration with back-end services.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of the Android open-source ecosystem and third-party libraries.
• Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
