    Kenya Trade Network Agency (KENTRADE) is a state Agency under treasury that is mandated to facilitate cross border trade, Establish, manage and implement the Kenya National Electronic Single Window System (KNESWS). The overall objective of the National Electronic Single Window System Project is to facilitate international trade by reducing delays and lowering costs associated with clearance of goods at the Kenyan borders while maintaining the requisite controls and collection of levies, fees duties and taxes, where applicable on imports or exports.     Apprentice - Strategy, Compliance and Statistics Department

    ​​​​​​​Reports to:

    Manager Strategy, Compliance and Statistics

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Assist in compiling reports on the status of the implementation of the Strategic Plan;
    2. Assist in compiling reports on the status of the implementation of the Strategic Plan;
    3. Assist in collecting statistics, interpreting the data and preparing reports;
    4. The intern will be expected to conduct a research or assist in research work;
    5. The intern maybe called upon to monitor the implementation of various activities within the Agency;
    6. The intern maybe be involved in assisting the department in maintaining the Quality Management System and assist during internal quality audits;
    7. The intern may also be required to take minutes during meetings;
    8. Any other duty commensurate with this position and that may assist the intern in career development.

    Academic/professional requirements

    1. Should be a Kenyan Citizen aged between 16 and 18 years;
    2. Should be available full time for the duration of the program (3 months);
    3. Should be a continuing student or have graduated within the last five (5) years with Bachelor degree in Economics and Statistics (ongoing or completed).
    4. Be Computer Literate and have strong communication skills.
