    Area Sales Manager

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    1. Maximizes allocation of resources in area e.g. POS, Coolers.
    2. Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action with team.
    3. Coach and Lead.
    4. Trade and Outlet Execution.
    5. Outlet Development.
    6. Quality Management
    7. Partner with sales reps and customers to develop and execute a customer specific business plan.
    8. Monitor competitive activities.
    9. Quality Management ensure compliance to Quality Standards and Manage Trade Replacements.
    10. Promotions implement promotional plans.
    11. Report promotional deviances with Store Owners, managers.
    12. Execute promotional compliance.
    13. Merchandising ensure the execution and Implementation of Picture of Success by channel is being done by the sales reps.
    14. Implement stock rotation.
    15. Execute dealer merchandising training.
    16. Order Generation, sell in Core packs as per Picture of Success.
    17. Orders calculated and captured.
    18. Achieve sales targets.
    19. Manage new product listings
    20. Negotiates permanent, promotional and ad hoc space with customer.
    21. Executes quarterly or as per agreement business reviews by customer.
    22. Attends frequent trade visits to customer stores with relevant regional personnel.
    23. Understand pack margin and pack role per customer in order to optimize revenue growth.
    24. Utilize market research and analysis such as Nielsen, loyalty data etc to formulate programmes and feedback to customer.
    25. Customer Relationship supports the front line staff in building strong relationships with each customer by:
    26. a) Identifying business growth opportunities master of execution and brings a different perspective to identify opportunities sales staff may have missed.
    27. Develop, implement and or manage account specific programmes, promotions and packs as required and evaluation.
    28. Builds personal relationship with customer through various interactions such as charity sports days, customer conference participation, corporate golf days, host at local and international conferences and sporting occasions.
    29. Sales and Marketing share growth.
    30. Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action.
    31. Allocates execution resources e.g. POS ,coolers , promotional material etc for maximum return.
    32. Identifies competitor activities and develops and implements response tactics.
    33. Promotions, ensures local and national promotions are implemented effectively.

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    1. Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Sales and Marketing.
    2. Minimum 5 years’ experience. FMCG experience is an added advantage.
    3. Must be computer proficient, and a highly agile person.
