The hotel has 170 rooms, 4 restaurants, and consists of 5 main blocks, each ranging from 1 to 2 stories high.     Assistant Chief Engineer

    The role of Assistant Chief Engineer is critical to supporting the operational departments of our hotel and contributes to the high level of service we deliver to our guests.

    What you will be doing:

    • Assist the Chief Engineer with the management all contractors, maintaining all permits and licenses; ensuring sound compliance and the highest standards of safety and security for all guests and colleagues
    • Manage multiple projects and stakeholders
    • Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule and completing minor repairs as required
    • Monitor budget and control expenses within all areas of the department
    • Check wastage and ensure optimum use of material in the operation
    •  Prepare operational document and report on energy consumption
    • Develops and implements safety and procedures, recommends necessary changes
    • Perform daily checks around the hotel

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Qualified engineer; with previous experience in a similar role in a 5* Hotel
    • A hands-on approach to solving problems
    • Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
    • Excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to multitask
    • The ability to carry out emergency maintenance works outside of normal working hours
