    Assistant Chief Pharmacist, Grade 11- University Health Services, UHS - 11 Positions

    Job specifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Higher Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or related field
    • Registered with the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board or any other applicable Board/Body
    • Three (3) years experience as a Pharmaceutical Technologist Grade 8/9/10 (DEF)

    Duties and responsibilities
    The duties of the Assistant Chief Pharmacist shall include but are not limited to:

    • Process and issue drugs as per doctor’s prescription
    • Guide patients on proper use of drugs, adherence and other adverse effects occasioned by the drug.
    • Proper drug and related records keeping.
    • Replenishing drugs in stores to ensure consistency in availability of drugs to patients
    • Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory
    • Prepare medication for patients
    • Carry out monthly stock takes and reconciliation
    • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time
