Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying common ailments andminorinjuries atcommunitylevel for appropriate action
• Identif),rng and referring health cases to the appropriatehealth facilities
• Coordinating community health activities
• Collatinghealth data from household level for analysis
• VisitinS homes to determinehealth situations andholdingdiaTogue with household
• Sensitizing and disseminatinghealth information to the community
• Identifying defaulters of health interventions and referring them to appropriatehealth facilities
• Convenlng meetings and action days in collaboration with community health committees and other stakeholders
• Managrng community health resource centers
• Requisitioning refills for the community health workers kits

Competencies

• Be aKenyan citizen
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Community Health Nursing, Community Health, Community oral health, psychology, nutrition, environmentalHealth,
• Counseling, social work, community development or health promotion and education from a rccognrzed institution and
• Certificate in computer apphcations skills from a recognrzed institution
• Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 70 and 232 of the Constitution
