    Assistant Director Co-operative Development

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Promote value addition and processing.
    • Undertake cooperative risk assessment.
    • Develop data system and maintain data base for the directorat
    • Develop a long-term Human Resource planning for the directorat
    • Develop, implement and realize the department’s strategic objectives, performance contract and appraisal system
    • Provide technical advice in areas of specialization
    • Prepare reports on policy formulation
    • Enforce compliance with cooperative legislati
    • Monitor the implementation of cooperative activities, programmes and policies.
    • Conduct cooperative inspection
    • Develop appropriate policies for cooperatives societie
    • Carry out regular training needs assessment for the directorate staff and developing appropriate training programmes.
    • Set performance targets and standards for the directorate staff
    • Mentor, guide and supervise staff in the directorat
    • Analyze data for policy formulation;

    Requirement for Appointment

    • At Least Eight (8) years relevant experience
    • Must be serving officer in Nyandarua County Public Service
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce, Business Administration, Cooperative Management, Cooperative Business or any other related field from a Recognized University.
    • A Masters Degree will be an added advantage; and
    • Demonstrated Professional Competence in Administration of Cooperatives Management.
