Assistant Director - Information - 26 Positions at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the formulation, interpretation of information policies, programmes and strategies;
• Coordination of information services;
• Management of news, information and features;
• Coordination of information research and preparation of reports; and
• Coordination of provision and uploading of content onto Kenya News Agency (KNA) website and centres.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Served for a minimum period of eight (8) years, two (2) of which should have  been at the grade of Senior Information Officer, CSG 9 or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service;
• A Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Communication Studies, Media Studies/Science, Photojournalism or equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya; 

OR 

• A Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Communication Studies, Media Studies/Science, Photojournalism or equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya; and
• Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
