Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level may be deployed at -the Directorate of Supply Chain Management Services or In a department. The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail managingactivities in Supply Chain Management Units, formulating of Supply Chain Management policies, for planning, organizing, administration and control of the Supply Chain Management units in the Department. interpretation and implementation of Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005 and other statutes, policies, Tides and regulations that may impact on the SupplyChainManagement.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:-

• Served in the grade of Principal Supply Chain Management Officer or in a comparableand relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of-three (3) year:
• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management froma recognisedinstitution
• Diploma in Supplies Management or its approved equivalent froma recognizedInstitution is an added advantage
• Master's Degree in any of the following: - Procurement and Supply Management. Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Administration, Commerce, or anyotherrelevant field from a recognized Institution is added advantage
• Registered with KISM
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. (vii) Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
